The Bernina Gathering Foot or shirring foot allows you to easily gather a single layer of fabric or gather one piece while stitching it flat to another piece. Using the gathering foot, the process is easily done by increasing the stitch length and thread tension. Includes instructions.
Note: This foot only works with 5mm stitch width models, it will not work on 9mm stitch width models.
This is a generic presser foot. To attach to your machine, you will need the Bernina shank adapter sold below that can be used for all presser feet in this category. Use the "COMPATIBILITY DETAILS" tab to check whether your Bernina is a "New Style" or "Old Style" model.
